There actually are a few other really nice Primo mitts out there and I wanted to show you the top three after the one we’ve already reviewed on this page.
I love the 1200. I really like the 1150, 1275 and 1179.
I’m partial towards the 1150 because it’s strictly for a left-handed thrower. Just take a look at the pictures and you’ll see how high quality the leather is.
Unfortunately, Rawlings has discontinued the Primo gloves for the most part but you can still find the 12.75 inch outfield glove.

I love that the Primo gloves are pro model. Rawlings calls these their “elite” level baseball gloves. They like to use the term masterpiece and I can’t disagree with them at all.
They use Italian leather and 100% wool padding for extra comfort.
It’s strong, durable and it shapes perfectly with you hand.
The Primo pictured below is still available for right handed throwers. It’s a highly rated outfielders glove. With Rawlings just look at the model number and you’ll be able to figure out the size.

I really like this glove and it’s been a top seller on Amazon for quite a long time.
There’s just something about getting a super high quality glove with awesome leather that breaks in within two weeks of buying it.
Other Top of The Line Rawlings Gloves
Since the Rawlings Primo Series PRM1200 isn’t available anymore I gave you two options above. The Primo 12.75 inch outfielders glove and the offshoot model of the Primo which is called Opti-Core.
All six selections below are Opti-Core models which are Rawlings “masterpiece” gloves.
The first one is my favorite because you can choose left or right handed models and you can also choose from three different sizes.
11.75″, 12″ and 12.75″.
It is a beautiful glove which also takes advantage of the luxurious European leather.
These are all top-rated mitts and the only negative really isn’t a negative. It can take some time to break it in.
If you’re going to spend some good money on a luxury baseball glove then go in expecting to spend some time taking care of it and breaking it in properly.
