It’s understandable if you first think that using a helmet when hitting in T ball doesn’t make sense.
It doesn’t seem important, because the ball isn’t hurtling towards the hitter’s head.

Even in tee ball, the ball can bounce from the tee towards the hitter’s head. This may not be all that common, but it actually happens every now and then
-
The tee ball helmet provides additional protection when the ball is thrown around the base paths.
In one case of youth baseball fatality, an 8-year old first baseman was hit with a thrown ball in the side of the neck, and died from the blunt force trauma.
-
It helps them develop the habit of using a batting helmet, so they even use it for casual games. It also helps them to become more accepting of athletic safety equipment in general.
-
Some leagues insist on the use of a mask along with the helmet. But this has met with some resistance, as it can diminish hitting performance.
It’s easy enough to convince parents and players that helmets must be mandatory even in T ball play. But then that leads to the question of which t ball helmets to use.
You should read up on the CDC guidelines on choosing the right size. Still, you need to pick the right brand and model.

Who says that only boys can play baseball?
Girls can play too, you know.
After the media attention paid to Mo’ne Davis in the 2015 Little League World Series, more girls are participating in baseball.
And if that’s the case, then you need to get your little girl started with Tee ball first.
With its model paint finish, it can really look striking on the baseball field, and it can make a young girl feel both athletic and feminine at the same time.
It offers a snug fit for the 6¼ to 6⅞ hat sizes, or 19¾ to 21⅝ inches in head circumference. And since lots of young ladies have long hair, it even offers a channel for ponytails to fit through.
For protection, it offers a hard shell and dual density foam, and for comfort it offers as many as 12 vents to keep the head cool and dry underneath the helmet and the hair.
The design comes with the mandatory double ear cover feature, and of course it meets NOCSAE standards.

It’s also been already drilled so it’s ready to incorporate a face guard, plus it has snaps so your girl can also use it with a chin guard.
Come to think of it, this doesn’t have to be a helmet for just girls. Some boys love pink, and they also sport long hair.
There’s nothing wrong with that! The only thing wrong is if you allow baseball players to play without a batting helmet.
